I always thought my sister had an old soul. She loves British classics and fancied vintage clothes and accessories. So it didn’t come as a surprise when Diep told me she dreamed of a 1920’s inspired garden wedding at the Huntington Library. This is one of Diep and Jimmy’s favorite places to stroll on a summer’s evening. I think they even have membership so the family often visit for concerts and movie nights in the park!
I love that she kept to her dreams even though it did not always align with typical wedding traditions. Diep walked herself down the aisle, they only invited 40 people, their reception was during lunch and she wore two beautiful off-white 1920’s inspired gowns. To top the cake, she had the lovely Shelley from Primal Flower arrange the prettiest cascading bouquet with soft buttery roses, undulating ivories and sprinkled with pale pink berries! Seriously-squeal!
What an honor it was to be able to photograph my sister’s wedding. I will surely remember all the laughter and happy tears on that day. Welcome to the family Jimmy!
Here are a few of my favorites from the special day.
