A mid-century mod wedding for 100, nestled near the Long Beach waterfront, at the iconic Hotel Maya – now that’s something amazing that Kris and Chrissy pulled off just perfectly! With the eclectic design and lush garden backdrop, they hosted an indoor/outdoor wedding surrounded by their friends and family.
Seriously, when it comes to style, Kris and Chrissy went the extra mile to do it right. They asked their interior designer Steven, owner of Trebor Nevets to help them create their vision. Steven got the always talented Shelley from Primal flowers to create bouquets of succulents for the table settings, ceremony archway, the brides bouquet etc…. An added touch was Chrissy’s personal bouquet that was wrapped in her grandmother’s handkerchief and she wore her mom’s earrings. Kris got his suit custom tailored from a blend of wool materials that just looked smashing with that bow tie! Oh and the dress! It was meant for Chrissy. It was such a stunner that it made Kris do a double take during their “First Look”.
As a photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding! Not only was the day unique and intimate, it was also filled with so much laughter and tears. As the sun set behind the waterfront, all of the guests were happily entertained by a magician (yes a magician!) and a jazz trio. Ohh just pinch me!
Thank you to Hoami for second shooting with me.
